OPENING CEREMONY OF LIBRARY BUILDING IN KANAGAMBIKAIKULAM TAMIL SCHOOL
As per the guidance and direction of Major General Amal Karunasekara RWP RSP VSV USP ndu psc Commander Security Forces (Kilinochchi) initiative to uplift and develop the Kilinochchi community, by focusing on fulfilling its immediate requirement in areas such as education, youth employment, health, community wellbeing, newly constructed school library building of the Kanagambigaikulam Tamil School was declared open by Brigadier Anura Sudasinghe USP ndc IG - General Officer Commanding 57 Division on 16 November 2016.\r\n\r\nA formal ceremony of opening new school building was organized by the 57 Division and 16 (V) Battalion of Sri Lanka Light Infantry Regiment. Troops of 16 (V) Battalion Sri Lanka Light Infantry Regiment contributed their strength to construct the school building and approximately Rs. 3.9 lakhs of financial assistance for the project was provided by Ceylinco Life Insurance Limited. \r\n\r\nThe opening ceremony was presided by Brigadier Anura Sudasinghe USP ndc IG General Officer Commanding - 57 Division. Colonel Ajith Kolambathanthri RWP RSP – Commander 571 Brigade, Mr. T. Vijayanath - Assistance General Manager of Ceylinco Life Insurance Limited, Mr. Udayashankar – Assistance General Manager of Ceylinco Life Insurance Limited – Kilinochchi, Mr. T. Perinaparajah – Assistance Zonal Director Education, Mrs S. Sundaralingham - Principal of Kanagambigaikulam Tamil School together with teachers and students, Military Officers participated to the opening ceremony.
