As per the guidance and direction of Major General KADA Karunasekara RWP RSP VSV USP ndu psc, Commander Security Forces - Kilinochchi an awareness programme on HIV AIDS was organized for the Military personnel and civilians from the AOR on 30 Nov 2016. Representing the Commander Security Forces - Kilinochchi, Colonel IP Kandhanaarachchi, Colonel Admin & Quartering - SF HQ (KLN) participated as the chief guest together with the Lt Col GP Kodithuwakku RWP RSP, Colonel General Staff- 57 Division, Lt Col MTKR Silva - CCCA SF HQ (KLN) and many Military senior officers.\r\n\r\nWorld AIDS Day is held on the 1st December each year and is an opportunity for people worldwide to unite in the fight against HIV and show their support for people living with HIV and to commemorate people who have died. \r\nThe programme consist with comprehensive lectures on HIV AIDS organized by Armour Coord and Director of Health Services in Kilinochchi. For this programme, approximately 412 Military personnel from Army, Navy, Air Force and Police and 252 civilians were participated. The lectures were conducted by a specialist namely Dr. Sathya Herath a Consultant Community Physician of National STD/AIDS and Dr. Kumari Karunarathna, from MOH (KLN).
