SECOND IN COMMANDERS WORKSHOP CONCLUDED IN SECURITY FORCES KILINOCHCHI
On the direction of Commander Security Forces – Kilinochchi, 04 days workshop for Second In Commanders was commenced on 08 August 2016 and terminated on 12 August 2016 at 65 Division Headquarters with the participants of 22 Second In Commanders serving in the Area of Responsibility – Kilinochchi.\r\n\r\nThe aim of this workshop was to enhance the knowledge of 2ICs’ on administration and logistics in unit lines which specifies to the appointment whilst providing opportunities to improve leadership qualities to be required by them to perform as the potential Commanding Officers.\r\n\r\nThe following subject areas were covered during the workshop.\r\n\r\na. Rules, Conventions of Service Writing and Service Correspondence.\r\nb. Role and responsibilities of a 2IC.\r\nc. Admin in the Unit Line during the Peacetime including Inspection.\r\nd. Customary Law/Military Law and Human Rights.\r\ne. Basic concepts and Fundamentals of Management.\r\nf. Maintain of Service Records of Officers and Other Ranks.\r\ng. Organizing of Ceremonial Parades. Functions and Customs.\r\nh. Social Etiquettes.\r\n\r\nCommander - 653 Brigade, Colonel S K Eshwaran USP psc delivered the closing address of the workshop.\r\n
