Extending the warm and best wishes to all Officers and Other Ranks for the Year 2021, the Commander Security Force Kilinochchi Major General Sampath Kotuwegoda made his presence for the occasion of flag hoisting to mark the dawning of the New Year 2021.
The formal function was held in front of the main office complex of Headquarters Security Force Kilinochchi and there the Commander SF gathered in hoisting the National Flag which was followed by two minutes silence to tribute for fallen war heroes. The day’s sequence reached its apex with the presentation of the state allegiance oath by the General Staff Officer II (Training), later presented the messages of Chief of Defence Staff and Commander of the Army in wishing for Year 2021. Later, the Commander Security Force Kilinochchi addressed all troops performing duties at the Headquarters and wished them and their families a happy and prosperous New Year. He highlighted that to make this year to achieve the expected goals as an organization by dedicating towards the prime duty as a soldier.
Later, an awareness lecture on ‘Prevention from Covid-19 Pandemic’ was conducted for troops of SFHQ- KLN at the auditorium of the Security Force Headquarters – Kilinochchi. Medical assistant of Sri Lanka Medical Corps, serving at the ABH - Kilinochchi presented the lecture.
All Senior Staff Officers, Officers and Other Ranks performing duties at Headquarters Security Force Kilinochchi made their presence for the occasion with adhering to health regulations.
