SECURITY FORCES KILINOCHCHI FACILITATED TO UPLIFT THE HEALTH OF LOW INCOME PEOPLE IN KILINOCHCHI
With the collaboration of the Vishva Parami Foundation, Security Forces Headquarters – Kilinochchi commenced a programme to distribute eye lenses on monthly basis for low income needy patients undergoing cataract surgery.\r\n\r\nAs the second phase of the above programme, distributed eye lenses to 15 patients on 24 May 2016. Colonel Ajith Kolambathanthri, Commander – 571 Brigade gifted the stock of eye lenses to Dr. Nishadhi Ranasinghe, Acting Director of DGH – Kilinochchi. For this precious moment Lieutenant Colonel Thusitha Silva, Chief Coordinator Civil Affairs, Secuirty Forces Headquarters – Kilinochchi, Dr. Gayan Jayawardana and Dr. L. Anosha from Kilinochchi District Hospital were attended.\r\n\r\nFurther, the awareness programme about Non Infectious Disease was held at Nelumpiyasa Auditorium with the cooperation of Armour Coordinating Headquarters and Regional Director of Health Services – Kilinochchi.\r\n\r\nFor this moment 150 civilians from Kilinochchi area were attended to the programme and Doctors made them aware about non infectious diseases.
