Sport are all forms of usually competitive physical activity or games which, through casual or organized participation, aim to use, maintain or improve physical ability and skills while providing enjoyment to participants, and in some cases, entertainment for spectators. \r\n\r\nTo prepare soldiers for active service, both mentally and physically, also served to boost morale, develop ‘esprit the corps’ serving in 65 Division. With this intention 65 Division end up with 08 sport games and organized colorful awarding ceremony for winners and runners up team among the games on 18 October 2016 at 65 Division Headquarters as per the direction of Maj Gen WA S Weerawardena RSP USP IG, General Officer Commanding - 65 Division. \r\n\r\nAs the starting of awarding ceremony, Up country dancing team was presented colorful dancing and music when the chief guest and other invitees arrival to the ceremony. Moreover, Brigadier K M R Abeysinghe, Commander - 651 Brigade and Brigadier S K Eshwaran, Commander - 653 Brigade also participated to the distributed trophies and certificates for Tug of War, Elle, Basketball, Cricket, Volleyball, Football, Marathon and Badminton. \r\n\r\n\r\nIn order to develop the peace and harmony within the people of the area, Division was organized several sport games for youngsters in the area to develop their sports skills and bolster their self confidence. Winning and runners up teams from the civil and school also awarded with certificates and trophies by the Chief Guest. \r\n \r\n Commanding Officers, Officers, Other Ranks and large crowd of civilians witnessed event.\r\n
