As per the direction of Commander Security Forces – Kilinochchi Major General Amal Karunasekara RWP RSP VSV USP ndu psc, Deepavali Festival was celebrated at Thirimurukkandi Pilleiar Hindu Kovil on 29 October 2016 with presence of Hindu - devotees together with troops to endorce the harmony and reconciliation among civilians and Military personals.\r\n\r\nThe national festival spiritually signifies the victory of light over darkness focusing mainly on Sun to symbolize the prosperity of Hindu devotees. Commander Security Forces - Kilinochchi Major General Amal Karunasekara RWP RSP VSV USP ndu psc, Commander FMA Kilinochchi - Brigadier Dammika Kariyawasam USP Lsc, General Officer Commanding of 57 Division - Brigadier Anura Sudasinha USP IG, Brigadier General Staff - Security Forces Kilinochchi, Brigadier Jagath Rathnayake RSP USP, senior officers, officers, other ranks and large gather of civilians participates for the pooja ceremony.
