As per the directions of Commander Security Forces Kilinochchi Major General Ajith Kariyakarawan and with the supervision of General Officer Commanding, 65 Division Major General Sarath Weerawardhana, troops of 10 Sri Lanka Light Infantry Regiment under 653 Brigade extended their assistance to clean the Palinagar Tamil School premises and Play Ground on 17 February 2017 from 0900hrs to 1200hrs.
2 x Officers and 70 x soldiers of 10 Sri Lanka Light Infantry Regiment directed by Commanding Officer Lieutenant Colonel Subash Karunarathna, voluntarily attended to said shramadhana campaign along with the assistance of parents of the school children. At the end of the shramadhan campaign the principle, school teachers and parents extended their heartiest gratitude to troops for providing assistance to clean the school premises.
