In remembrance of Fallen War Heroes, a commemoration ceremony was held at the premises of Security Force Headquarters – Kilinochchi on 18th May 2018.
Ceremony commences after hoisting the National flag, Army flag and Security Force Headquarters flag. Later, One Minute silence was observed to remember fallen War Heroes and the message of Lieutenant General Mahesh Senanayake, Commander of the Army was read in front of the gathering. The ceremony Included with a customary speech by the Commander, Security Force – Kilinochchi in order to highlight the importance of the day.
A Bodhi Pooja Pinkama was organized in the evening by the troops of the Security Force Headquarters –Kilinochchi at camp premises to bestow merits on fallen War Heroes and to invoke blessings upon the soldiers and to their families.
