As per the direction and guidance of the Commander Security Forces - Kilinochchi and under supervision of the Commander, Forward Maintenance Area – Kilinochchi, A water purification plant was invested in to uplift the welfare and health of soldiers those who serve in Security Forces – Kilinochchi. In parallel to the 7th Anniversary of Security Forces – Kilinochchi, the water purification plant was declared opened by the Major General K A D A Karunasekara RSP VSV USP ndu psc Commander, Security Forces - Kilinochchi on 29 June 2016 at Thirumurukkandi, Kilinochchi.\r\n\r\nThe water purification plant was built by 11 Engineer Service Regiment under supervision on Commanding Officer - 11 Engineer Service Regiment. The worth of above purification plant is approx 1.4 Million and purification plant has a capacity to provide 10000 Liters of pure water per day. There will be an opportunity for soldiers access to clean and safe drinking water through the new facility, which will fulfill a long felt issue of these soldiers where access to pure drinking water is limited. \r\n\r\nCommander, Security Forces – Kilinochchi together with Commander, Forward Maintenance Area – Kilinochchi, Senior Officers and Other Ranks attended the occasion. \r\n
