WOMEN S HEALTH AND WELLNESS WORKSHOP IN SECURITY FORCES KILINOCHCHI
Unfortunately, many women do not have traditional access to health care and education. To bridge this gap, Security Forces Headquarters - Kilinochchi organized a health and wellness workshop for women\'s soldiers serving in Kilinochchi area with the collaboration of the Directorate of Psychological Operations at the Security Forces Headquarters auditorium during 10 - 11 August 2016.\r\n \r\nThe workshop were covered the topics most important to women\'s long term health and wellbeing, including sexual health, self - esteem, domestic violence and healthy relationship and stress management. Approximately 100 women\'s soldiers from 6(V) Sri Lanka Women\'s Corps participated this workshop and Commander - 572 Brigade were delivered an opening address on the beginning day of the workshop. \r\n\r\nThe workshop, enriched with lectures by Dr Lalith Priyankara and Dr. Tharanga De Silva - General Hospital - Anuradhapura after the invitation received by the Directorate of Psychological Operations. Moreover, Colonel J A U J P Jayasooriya and his team from the Directorate of Psychological Operations also conducted lectures for the participants.
