Arasapurakulam Battalions Training School under command to 66 Division is locate in Poonaryn Divisional Secretary area in Kilinochchi and it plays major role in successfully conducting several courses for the soldiers such as Battalions Tranining, Awareness programme, Yoga course, Tamil and Clark Course.

6 (V) SRI LANKA WOMENS CORPS COORDINATES DISTRIBUTION OF SHOES AMONG STUDENTS

6 (V) Sri Lanka Women’s Corps (SLAWC) troops under the Security Force Headquarters - Kilinochchi (SFHQ-KLN) coordinated another community assistance programme, expanding its welfare measures to help necessitous students in the Kilinochchi area and distributed shoes during a simple ceremony at Ramakrishnan Primary School at Barathipuram.

57 Division conducted the Officers Training Day on 25 October 2017 at the Headquarters premises under guidance of Major General H J S Gunawardena RSP USP ndc psc General Officer Commanding – 57 Division.

A one day training programme for Senior Non – Commissioned Officers who are serving at under commanding formations and battalions of 57 Division held on 24 October 2017 at the 57 Division headquarters.

The training programme was initiated on a concept of the Major General H J S Gunawardena RSP USP ndc psc General Officer Commanding - 57 Division and it was held with the intention of improving leadership qualities and positive thinking of Senior Non - Commissioned Officers.

ENGLISH COMMUNICATION SKILL DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME OF BRITISH COUNCIL CONCLUDED

As per the concept of Commander of the Army, selected twenty officers under Security Force (Kilinochchi) followed a 10 Day English Communication Skill Development Programme at the Security Forces Headquarters premises from 05 Oct 17 to 18 Oct 17. The 10,000 m road run, the much-awaited second endurance testing event for troops of 57 Division, was successfully conducted on 17 Oct 17. With the objective of improving the adore for reading and extra knowledge of school children, military personnel and civilians, sets of books are donated to the library of 661 Brigade Headquarters by the Vice Chancellor and the library staff of the University of Rajarata.
