TAMIL LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY TRAINING IN SECURITY FORCES KILINOCHCHI

As per the training cycle devised under the supervision of the Commander Security Forces Kilinochchi Tamil language training courses 5 and 6 was concluded recently. Total of two thousand eight hundred officers and other ranks followed course number 5 and 6. The training is organised by the 66 division. Review of ongoing welfare, development and various other services, carried out by Army troops serving the Security Force Headquarters - Kilinochchi (SFHQ-KLN), took place during a special meeting at SFHQ-KLN auditorium on Wednesday (22).

Ninety Five (95) Tamil girls from Kilinochchi District made history on 21 March 2013 being the 1st batch of female Tamil recruits to successfully graduated after completing a basic military training for 4 months. AUSTRALIAN AID AND UNICEF COLLABORATED TO ASSIST EDUCATION IN KILINOCHCHI

KN/Kilinochchi Maha Vidyalam started as a junior secondary school in 1929. In few years, it transformed into a secondary school with commerce and arts streams in advanced level. The school suffered displacements at no of occasions due to conflict situation and reopened on 11 January 2010. The situation prevailed in the school with the reopening attracted the attention of UNICEF.
