SHRAMADANA CAMPAIGN AND DISTRIBUTION OF JACK SAPLINGS

Under the Directions of General Officer Commanding 66 Division, Major General Deepthi Jayathilaka 66 Division together with 661 Bde had organized a Shrmadana Campaign and a Distribution of Jack Saplings to mark the World Red Cross Day on 08 May 2018. The 15 (V) Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment conducted the programe in liaisons with Sri Lanka Red Cross Society - Kilinochchi branch.

The troops went on to clean the surrounding of Poonaryn hospital and Poonaryn town area during the Shrmadana Campaign. The contribution and the assistance made by the troops were very much appreciated by the staff of Poonaryn Hospital and the public. Distribution of 250 Jack saplings among 120 civilians will enhance the efforts of the government in promoting growth habit among the community.
