On 15th May 2025, the Signals Seva Vanitha Branch, led by its President Mrs. Ayesha Liyanage, organized a clothing distribution initiative to support the daughters of military and civilian personnel attached to the Sri Lanka Corps of Signals. Targeting girls aged 10 to 14, the event featured frocks and blouses personally crafted by Mrs. Liyanage, intended to assist families facing financial challenges.
Held at the Regimental Headquarters, 39 soldiers were invited to choose garments for their daughters, with frocks and blouses distributed by the end of the day. Mrs. Liyanage, accompanied by Mrs. Kanchana Mendis, engaged personally with the beneficiaries, reinforcing the Seva Vanitha Branch’s commitment to uplifting the Corps community through compassion and service.
