The Passing Out Parade of the Provost Course No. 84 was held with grandeur and military precision at the Parade Ground of the School of Military Police, Giritale on 24 June 2025, marking the successful completion of another milestone in the training calendar of the Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police with 07 Newly Commissioned Provost Officers and 36 Provost Recruits. The Chief Guest Maj Gen ULJS Perera RSP USP nps psc, The Military Secretary of the Sri Lanka Army and the Colonel Commandant of the Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police, was ceremonially received by the Commandant of the School of Military Police Col IR Hanthanearachchi, at the Main Entrance of the 2 SLCMP.
The ceremonial procedures commenced with the Guard Turnout at the Entrance, Passing Out Parade which showcased the culmination of training and transformation of trainees into disciplined Provost Officers and soldiers. In line with the traditions, the course passed under the newly constructed iconic Provost Ceremonial Arch. Following the parade, a Group Photograph was taken in front of the Provost Ceremonial Arch, capturing the proud moment for posterity. A series of displays followed to demonstrate the skills and precision inculcated through the course; Drill Display, Physical Training Display, Band Display by the Regimental Brass Band, Mini Tattoo by the Regimental Tattoo Team, featuring a synchronized exhibition of military discipline, control, and ceremonial performance. Following Course Participants received the awards from Maj Gen ULJS Perera RSP USP nps psc for their excellent performances shown during the course.
