  • ASSUMED DUTIES AS THE COMMANDING OFFICER OF THE 5 SLCMP

    Lt Col HAHC Alwis assumed duties as the Commanding Officer of the 5th Regiment Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police on 06 July 2017. Newly appointed Commanding officer was warmly welcomed by all Officers of the unit. A Guard Turnout and a parade were held in honor of the new Commanding Officer of 5 SLCMP.

    The farewell formalities for the Commanding Officer of the 5th Regiment Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police. Lt Col AMR Abeysinghe held on 04 July 2017.

  • INTER UNIT DRILL COMPETITION – 2017

    01st February 2018 22:33:50 Hours

    Inter Unit Drill Competition was held on 30 June 2017 at Girithale. Well trained drill platoons from 1 SLCMP, 2 SLCMP, 3 SLCMP, 4 SLCMP, 5 SLCMP and a combined platoon from 6 & 7 SLCMP participated for the competition. Colonel Commandant graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and Senior Officers, Officers, RSMs, SNCOs an NCOs participated for the event. First place secured by 2 SLCMP and Second place by - 1 SLCMP. Captain BGTD Bandara of 2 SLCMP awarded as the Best Commander of the competition, and S/Sgt Gunasekara DMR was awarded as the Best Drill Instructor.

  • PASSING OUT PARADE OF PROVOST COURSE 71

    Passing out parade of Provost Course 71 was held at School of Military Police at Girithale on 12 June 2017. Brig DKGD Sirisena USP (Provost Marshal & Col Comdt SLCMP) graced the occasion as the Chief Guest with the invitation of Commandant School of Military Police and many snr offrs attended the event. 255 recruits of our Regiment have completed their Recruit Course successfully.

  • THE 20TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE SPECIAL INVESTIGATION UNIT

    The 20th Anniversary celebration of Special Investigation Unit – SLCMP was held on 06th of June 2017. There was a bodhi puja ceremony held at Saripuththaramaya - Narahenpita on 01st of June 2017 in view of offering merits to KIA, MIA and WIA Officers and Soldiers in SLCMP under the patronage of the Commanding Officer.

  • VESAK LANTERN COMPETITION - BUDDHA RASHMI 2017

    Vesak Lantern competition held at the "Buddha Rashmi" National Vesak Zone - Gangaramaya on 10 May 2017 to 14 May 2017. The Lantern was made of using natural raw material and it was produced by 1 SLCMP with the directions of Colonel Commandant, Centre Commandant and other Officers.

  • WAR HEROES REMEMBRANCE CEREMONY WAS HELD AT GIRITHALE

    The annual War Hero remembrance ceremony was held under the patronage of the Colonel Commandant of the Regiment and Provost Marshal of the SL Army, Brig DKGD Sirisena USP at the War Hero Cenotaph - Girithale on 25 April 2017

  • ALL NIGHT PIRITH CHANTING AND ALMS GIVING AT THE HOME OF PROVOST TO CELEBRATE 27 REGIMENTAL DAY

    An all night ‘Pirith Chanting’ ceremony held on 21 April 2017 to commemorate Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police personnel killed and missing in action during active service and to invoke blessings paralleled to Regimental Day followed by an Alms Giving for 27 members of the Maha Sangha on 22 April 2017.

  • SRI LANKA CORPS OF MILITARY POLICE PROUDLY CELEBRATED IT'S 27TH CORPS DAY AT HOME OF PROVOST

    The Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police celebrated it's 27th Anniversary on 28 April 2017 at the Regimental Centre, Polhengoda. The celebration began on 19, 21 and 25 April 2017 with religious activities to invoke blessings on the Corps and the war heroes of the Corps who paid the supreme sacrifice to protect our motherland.

  • NEW YEAR TEA PARTY

    Officers and soldiers of the Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police celebrated the New Year and 27th Corps Day according to traditions by organizing a special tea party for all ranks at RHQ Cpls' Club on 19th April 2017. Brigadier D K G D Sirisena USP, Colonel Commandant of the Regiment and Provost Marshal lit the traditional oil lamp inaugurating the tea party rich with traditional sweetmeats. Towards the end of the party, the Colonel Commandant extended New Year greetings for all participants. A large number of officers and soldiers including Centre Commandant and CO - SIU were presented on the occasion.
