SRI LANKA CORPS OF MILITARY POLICE COMMENCES THE MONTH OF AUGUST WITH A FORMAL GATHERING

The Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police (SLCMP) ceremonially marked the beginning of the new month on 1^st August 2025 with a dignified event held at the Regimental Centre Parade Ground, Polhengoda.

The event commenced with the arrival of the Centre Commandant of the SLCMP, Brigadier M M M P Mahesh Kumara, who took part in the formal proceedings by hoisting the National Flag, symbolizing national pride and unity. This was followed by the hoisting of the SLCMP Flag, the 1 SLCMP Flag, and the SIU SLCMP Flag, representing the respective units and their commitment to duty. The ceremony further included the recital of the National Anthem and the Sri Lanka Army Song, reinforcing the devoted spirit and regimental values among all present.

Senior Officers, Officers, and Other Ranks of SLCMP attended the event, reflecting the Corps’ discipline, solidarity, and readiness as they embark on another month of dedicated service.
