Eight Naval officers together with twenty other rankers serving in the Naval
Bases at island wide were visited to Ranaviru Apparel (RVAPL) on 9 November 2022,
with a view of learning more about the RVAPL factory and share the experience on
manufacturing of uniforms.
The visiting Naval team were warmly welcomed by the Brigadier Azad Izadeen,
the Commandant – RVAPL and all ranks of RVAPL prior to the knowledge sharing
session and workshop arranged by the HRD of RVAPL at Conference Hall.
Meanwhile, Colonel Titus Jayakody, Factory Manager - RVAPL Yakkala conducted a
presentation to make them aware on the historic value and factory process significance
roles as the only garment production factory of the Army.
Later, they were taken on a guided tour around the factory premises by the
Officers and Senior Noncommissioned officers of RVAPL, as a part of workshop.
The day’s programme was ended after presenting a memento to Ranaviru Apparel
factory by the naval team to mark their visit to the RVAPL. |
