The preliminary round matches of this tournament started with the participation of Basketball teams, Security Forces Headquarters – East, Forward Maintenance Area (East), 22, 23, and 24 Infantry Divisions at the Basketball court of “Weber sport complex ” Batticaloa.

With a concept and directions of Commander, Security Forces - East, Major General Sujeewa Hettiarachchi and close supervision of the Commander, Forward Maintenance Area Headquarters - East Major General Chanaka Mettananda and Final matches of Security Forces - East Inter Division Cricket tournaments was held in the “Sri Lanka Artillery Regiment Training School” playground at Minneriya, On 14 December 2022. The tournament was successfully concluded with 23 Division team emerging as the champions.
