Troops of 6 Gemunu Watch (GW) of the 142 Brigade under the Security Force Headquarters - West have successfully engaged to control raging fire that has broken out in a garbage dump at Madampitiya - Mutwal area after the Army assistance was sought around 02.00 p.m on Saturday (18).

With the Direction of the commander of the Army, Troops of 8 SLLI launched a tree planting project in the camp premises at Delgoda. A stock of Mango, Jack and other useful saplings were planted covering over 500 meters in the camp.
