The well coordinated “Leadership Training Package” was conducted for 128 newly appointed Samurdhi Development Officers (Male 39 and Female 89) at the regimental centre Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment at Ambepussa as directed by the Commander of the Army with the supervision of Director General Training at Army Headquarters.
The training package was commenced on 20 November 2017 and terminated on 12 December 2017. Hon S. B. Dissanayake, Minister for Social Empowerment, Welfare and Kandyan Heritage, together with a few senior Samurdhi Officers visited the training at regimental centre during the course.

A total of two hundred and fifty officers attended for the programme under the supervision of the Colonel of the Regiment Major General A P de Z Wickramaratne RWP ndu psc.

To be in line with the visionary concept of the Colonel of the Regiment, Major General A P de Z Wickramaratne RWP ndu psc, a workshop for Regimental Sergeant Majors and Regimental Quartermaster Sergeants was conducted on 15 and 16 January 2018 at the Regimental Centre, Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment, Ambepussa.
The participants had an opportunity to witness informative lectures by professionals during the workshop and as a result of that their knowledge has enhanced immensely. The programme consisted with lectures and activities such as physical training, sword drill and interaction session.
