12 Division assisted to construct a water tank on 09 Oct 18. Where, 02 x 60 troops from 12 Division assisted in transporting raw materials required for the construction of the tank bund, in particular, troops carried these raw materials by foot in acritical route stretched about 1Km. On completion of the work, troops and the Army were appreciated by monks and people. The charity work was done with instruction of the Commander of the Army after a request from Manikhinna Dhammanushawa Thero of the Wijeyarama Monastery Bowalawaththa.

12 Division organized series of programmes to celebrate the 69th Anniversary of Sri Lanka Army in 12 Division AOR with the guidance of Comd Security Forces (Cen) Maj Gen G R H Dias VSV USP ndc psc IG on 10 Oct 18. Flag hoisting ceremony was held at Headquarters 11 Division with the participation of GOC 11 Division Maj Gen N D Wanniarachchi WWV RWP RSP USP ndc IG. Message of the Commander of the Army was red by Col S N Kitulgoda USP at the event.

11 Div Organized a Flag Parade on 11 Oct 18 in Kandy to celebrate the 69th Anniversary of Sri Lanka Army with the guidance of Commander, Security Forces (Cen), Maj Gen G R H Dias VSV USP ndc psc IG and the supervision of GOC 11 Division, Maj Gen T J Nanayakkara RWP USP ndu. The parade consist with Troops from Bns, Trg Schools and Bdes under 11 Division was started at 0900 hrs from Arpico Supers Centre Mulgampola Kandy and terminated at 2 SLSR Kandy.

In line with the 69th Anniversary of Sri Lanka Army, SF HQ (Cen) conducted a Shramadhana campaign, under guidance of the Commander SF HQ (Cen) Maj Gen G R H Dias VSV USP ndc psc IG on 09 Oct 18 at Diyatalawa Base Hospital and Aurvedic Hospital Diyatalawa from 0800 hrs to 1300 hrs.

More than 50 houses were damage due to adverse weather condition at Balana, Katakumbura and Amunupura area which located in Kadugannawa Divisional Secretariat in Kandy on 05 Oct 2018. The mentioned area is located within the responsible area of 11 Division of Security Forces (Central).
