the severe weather conditions that prevailed over the past several days, troops of the 11 Infantry Division, operating under the Security Forces Headquarters (Central) and deployed in the Area of Responsibility of the 641 Infantry Brigade, extended vital assistance in restoring public utilities in the Rattota area in the Matale District. On 03 December 2025, a team of 01 × 10 personnel from the 1 SLRC was engaged in reinstating the disrupted power supply in the affected locality.

Following the island-wide adverse weather during recent days, troops of the 111 Infantry Brigade under the 11 Infantry Division, SFHQ–Central, conducted search operations in the Palapathwela and Ellepola areas of Matale District, where a landslide had left five persons missing. As at 02 December 2025, one body was recovered, and a team of 01 × 15 troops was deployed to continue the search for the remaining victims

Due to the adverse weather conditions that prevailed across the island over the past few days, troops under the Headquarters 12 Infantry Division of the Security Forces Headquarters (Central) deployed in the 122 Infantry Brigade area, carried out disaster relief and restoration operations in the flood-affected Kataragama area.

Due to the adverse weather conditions experienced in recent days, several safety centres were established for the protection of disaster-affected civilians living within the Dyatalawa, Haputale and Hali-Ela Divisional Secretariat areas under the Security Forces (Central) Area of Responsibility. Among these safety centres were Ududompé School Hali-Ela, Uduwara Tamil School Demodara, Haputale Galkanda Muthu Vaan Kovil, Glenore Community Hall and Pitaratmale Community Hall.

Due to the adverse weather conditions experienced across the country in recent days, troops under the Security Forces (Central) 11 Infantry Division Area of Responsibility of the 111 Infantry Brigade conducted rapid cleaning and purification operations at water treatment plants in Katugastota and Dangolla areas in the Kandy District, which were obstructed by debris as a result of flooding.

Due to adverse weather conditions experienced across the island, several houses in the Walimada -Rendapola area were affected by a landslide on the night of 29 November 2025. To rescue displaced persons and recover the bodies of the deceased, a total of 02 x 47 troops from the 1st Battalion of the Gemunu Watch and the 23rd Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment, operating under the Security Force Headquarters (Central), were promptly dispatched to the affected location.
