Regimental Centre Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment (SLSR) on Sunday (19) July 20 in a fitting military ceremony bade farewell to one of its Senior Officers, retiring Major General Deepthi Jayathilaka after an exemplary service of more than 35 years in the Regular Force of the Sri Lanka Army.

On the direction of General Officer Commanding 57 Division, troops of 6 Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment organized a ceremony at Kokavil Monument which graced by Major General Hemantha Bandara, General Officer Commanding 65 Division together with Brigadier Anil Perera,Commander 652 Brigade on 11 July 2020 to tribute and closely refreshed the memories of War Heroes who made the supreme sacrifice for defence of the famous Kokavil Transmission Tower and the Army Camp from raiding LTTE terrorists from 27 June to 11 July 1990.

Major General Manoj Mudannayake, Director General Infantry of the Army and Colonel of the Regiment, Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment, one of the Army-groomed dedicated Senior Officers on the eve of his retirement from the Army, had a courtesy audience with Lieutenant General Shavendra Silva, Chief of Defence Staff and Commander of the Army in the Army Headquarters on Tuesday (12).

The opening ceremony of the newly constructed Truncheon House of the Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment (SLSR) at Ambepussa took place on Saturday (9) May 2020 at a ceremony, headed by Major General Manoj Mudannayake, Colonel of the Regiment SLSR and Director General Infantry of Sri Lanka Army.
After a warm welcome extended to him by Brigadier Ajith Pallawela, the Centre Commandant Regimental Centre SLSR, together with Major General (Retd) Kumudu Perera and Major General Jayantha Senevirathne, Commander Security Force West, the day’s Chief Guest was invited to the formal occasion of opening the new complex after cutting the ribbon and unveiling a plaque to the same effect.

Lieutenant Colonel K.M.D.I.P Kamalgoda of Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment on Friday (6) assumed duties as the 1st Commandant of the Puttalam-based Army Recruit Training School during a simple ceremony.
