Giving helping hands to Muslim widows of Majeedpuram village at Samanthurai - Ampara, 24 Infantry Division coordinated and distributed dry rations packs each worth of Rs. 3500.00 among 65 those under privilege civilians on 12 November 2023. The donation was arranged with the assistance of Ms. Razard Nuwshard, the President of “Wings of Humanity Organization” and Mr. SLM Nasroonthe social work coordinator of Addalachchenai.

As a contemporary measure to educate the Officers and Other Ranks of the Army on the impact of today’s social media which is a double-edged weapon, a two-day workshop was organized and conducted in the 24 infantry Division, under the topic of “Impact on Media on military and society: Positives and negatives” on 11 and 12 of November 2023. The lectures were conducted by the media consultant to the Commander of the Army Mr. Sisira Wijesinghe who has an immense experience on the subject matter and having the experience over 23 years in handling the Army Media in addition to his many other professional qualifications and achievements.
