On the concept of the General Officer Commanding 14 Infantry Division Major General K A W N H Bandaranayake USP and the Commander 141 Infantry Brigade Colonel R R De S Dharmawickrama RSP, the troops of 6 Field Regiment Sri Lanka Artillery organized a community project for the Vesak festival by offering a lunch and necessary items to 18 elders and staff of “Sevana” elderly home at Kurawalana - Kahatowita.

The training program was organized by 14 Infantry Division, at 2 (V) Sri Lanka Light Infantry lecture hall on 8 May 2024. Brigadier DSS Radalage RWP RSP assumed the duties as the 37th Commander of the 142 Infantry Brigade on 6 May 2024, at the Brigade Headquarters in Kohuwala. Upon his arrival, he was warmly welcomed by the brigade staff, and a guard turnout was presented at the entrance. Following traditional customs, the newly appointed Brigade Commander officially assumed his duties at the Brigade Commander’s office amidst pirith chanting, a sacred Buddhist ritual.
