The Training of Trainees (ToT) Program prior to the Clean Sri Lanka Project - Stage II officially commenced on 24 March 2025, with a remarkable opening ceremony held at the Corps of Engineer Services Lecture Hall. The program aimed to equip the participants with a comprehensive understanding of the Clean Sri Lanka Project, a significant initiative focused on enhancing cleanliness and environmental sustainability across the country. This training was conducted under the expert leadership and guidance of Commander Security Forces (West), Major General U K D D P Udugama RWP RSP USP ndc psc, whose valuable insights and extensive experience greatly contributed to the success of the program.

As per the direction of Commander Security Forces (West) and the close supervision of General Officer Commanding 61 Infantry Division Major General K T P De Silva RSP ndu psc, in an effort to enhance disaster response capabilities, the 61 Infantry Division successfully conducted a Disaster Response and rescue training programme for its personnel at Madampa river and Rivers Edge Hotel premises in Ambalangoda. This training workshop aimed to equiped officers and soldiers with essential skills to conduct swift and efficient rescue operations during a flood situation in the area.

The Battalion Training Course No. 2025/1 of the 8 Sri Lanka Light Infantry (SLLI) commenced on 17th March 2025 at the Security Forces (West) Battalion Training School, Puttalam. The training program began with the Opening Address, marking the official initiation of the course, which includes 11 Officers and 356 Other Ranks.

Parallel to the "CLEAN SRI LANKA" program, as per the concept of the Commander of the Army, the cleaning and renovation program of selected with the low facilities schools was initiated in the selected Pamunugama Gonsalvez College - Ja-Ela in the Gampaha District as per the priority policy and the cleaning program was initiated and the inaugural ceremony was held in this school with great pomp on 10.03.2025 under the theme of "A Clean Educational Environment".
