A group of Army personnel belonging to 2 (v) Battalion Sri Lanka Light Infantry of 144 Infantry Brigade recently participated in a Dengue prevention campaign in collaboration with the officials of Gothatuwa MOH office and police personnel of Mulleriyawa police station. The project was conducted on 24 June 2023, covering 504 Kelanimulla Grama Nilsdari Division under the Gothatuwa MOH office.

Pussella RWP RSP, took office as the 12th Chairperson of the Sri Lanka Army General Service Corps Seva Vanitha Unit on 21 June 2023, at Sri Lanka Army General Service Corps Headquarters, after Major General D.M.K.D.B. Pussella RWP RSP assumed duties as the 16th Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Army General Service Corps.

The 143 Infantry Brigade Warrant Officers and Sergeants’ Mess was officially inaugurated on 18 June 2023, marking the culmination of a 16-month project. The ceremony was attended by Major General D.M.K.D.B. The Sri Lanka Army's engineering and technical prowess as well as its all-time readiness to perform nation-building tasks at any given time came to light this morning (16 June) once again when 12 Engineer Services Regiment troops on the directions of the Commander of the Army undertook to erect a much-needed two storey building for students at Ilukpitiya Kanishta (Junior) Vidyalaya, situated in Ilukpitiya, Kotapola in Matara District.

This workshop, which was held on 16, 17, and 18 May 2023 at the 1 Sri Lanka National Guard camp premises, aimed to educate the officers and other ranks on various concepts of human rights and international humanitarian law.

The 09th Agricultural Knowledge Improvement and Leadership Development Workshop, themed "Haritha Niyamuwo," was a unique initiative taken by the Wayamba Training Institute in collaboration with the Army personnel of 1 Sri Lanka National Guard and 1 Sri Lanka Army Women Corps. The workshop was held on 10 June 2023, at the Wayamba Training Institute premises in Wariyapola, the workshop aimed to impart knowledge to 70 children residing at "Meegahakotuwa Remand home" located in Kurunegala District.
