A special program was organized at Diyathalawa ‘Viru Kekulu Pre School” to mark the world Children’s Day on 01 October 2025. The event was organized under the guidance of the Commander, Security Forces (Central), Major General Nalin Bandaranayake USP, together with Mrs. Damayanthi Bandaranayake. The program included cultural performances, games, and creative activities, providing the children with a joyful and memorable experience. The event concluded with the distribution of gifts and refreshments, bringing smiles to the faces of the children and leaving them with cherished memories. Senior officers, officers, teachers and the children of the preschool participated the event.

The initiative was conducted in conjunction with the ‘PRANA’ programme.

Under the supervision of the Directorate of Media and Psychological Operations Army Headquarters, a lecture titled "Satisfied and Brave Army" was conducted on 27 August 2025 at the “Sino Lanka Friendship Auditorium” at Sri Lanka Military Academy for the troops of Security Forces (Central).

A program organized to distribute some essential goods and materials and providing lunch for children who possess special needs and elderly people accommodated in the Meth Sewa Foundation in Handapangala, Wellawaya was conducted by the troops under 20th Battalion Sinha Regiment, together with philanthropists from the Boralesgamuwa area, on 17 August 2025. It is carried out under the guidance of the GOC 12 Inf Div, Major General H T W Vidyananda RWP RSP USP and on the instructions of the Commander 121 Inf Bde, Brigadier H A Hapugoda USACGSC and with the supervision of the Commanding Officer 20 Battalion Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment. This community related program included a lunch for special needs children and differently-abled adults, a music session aimed at promoting mental well-being and the distribution of essential donations. Particular donations included the materials such as medicines, clothes, wheelchairs and hygiene items. In addition, some gifts were distributed amongst the staff members in appreciation of their service.
