  • ARMY TROOPS ENSURE CONSTANT TRAIN OPERATIONS AT OHIYA

  • PROFESSIONAL COMPERING TRAINING & PHOTOGRAPHY/VIDEOGRAPHY WORKSHOP FOR CENTRAL TROOPS

    A dynamic workshop on Compering Training and Photography/Videography was organized by the Security Force Headquarters Central for troops serving in under command formations, on the sheer guidance of Major General WWHRRVMNDKB Niyangoda RWP RSP VSV USP ndu psc, Commander Security Force Central. The workshop was conducted at the premises of security force headquarters from 13 November to 16 November 2023, and one officer & 39 other ranks from security force headquarters and under command formations participated in. The lectures and practical sessions were conducted by a professional media personal, Warrant Officer 1 AANT Amarasinghe from Directorate of Media - Army Headquarters.

This was the consecutive third instance the riad was blocked since 05 November 2023.

The adverse weather condition that ruled the area during evening hours on 05 November 2023, caused a slither earth slip and blocked the traffic movements of the Haputale – Welimada main road, at Walgahawela Junction.
