Troops of at the Headquarters of 11 Infantry Division, greeted the first working day in the Year-2025. The ceremony began on January 1st with a flag hoisting event by Major General K A U Kodithuwakku RSP USP psc IG, General Officer Commanding, Deputy General Officer Commanding Brigadier T C Harasgama RSP 11 Infantry Division raised the National Flag and the Division Flag respectively and joint singing of National Anthem and the Army song.

The troops of 20th Battalion Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment restored the tank bund of Mahara tank at Uva KudaOya which was slightly damaged due to adverse weather condition on 17 December 2024 using sand bags and chumps. The prompt action was taken by troops of 20 SLSR under the guidance of Commander 121 infantry Brigade with the supervision of Commanding Officer 20 SLSR.
