  • MILITARY PERSONNEL CONTRIBUTED FOR ECO FRIENDLY PROGRAMMES

    In parallel with the World Environment Day and the National Tree Planting Week a series of programmes were launched all over the island by the military personnel. Accordingly, troops of Security Forces Headquarters (Central) also assisted for such, nature friendly programmes with the guidance and the supervision of the Commander Security Forces (Central), Major General G R H Dias VSV USP ndc psc IG.

  • CENTRAL TROOPS LAUNCH A SHRAMADANA CAMPAIGN

    In parallel with the World Environment Day and the National Environment Week a Shramadana campaign was launched by the troops of Security Forces (Central) with the instructions and the supervision of Major General G R H Dias VSV USP ndu psc IG, the Commander Security Forces (Central), on 02 June 2018 in order to make Diyatalawa a more pleasant place.

  • TROOPS CONTROLLED A SUDDEN FIRE

    Troops of 5 Gemunu Watch controlled a sudden fire occurred in Diyaluma area in the Badulla District which is in the responsible area of 11 Division of Security Forces (Central) on 01 June 2018. A team consisting of 01 officer and 25 soldiers contributed to douse the fire with the instructions of the Commander Security Forces (Central), Major General G R H Dias VSV USP ndc psc IG.

  • NEW BRIGADIER GENERAL STAFF ASSUMES DUTIES

    Brigadier R M P J Rathnayake RWP RSP USP assumed duties as the new Brigadier General Staff of the Security Forces (Central) on 31 May 2018 at the office premises.

  • SECURITY FORCES CENTRAL ORGANIZED A TIMELY LECTURE ON EFFECTIVE COMMUNICATION

    Officers at Security Forces Headquarters (Central) were lectured on Effective Communication. This timely lecture was conducted by retired Lieutenant Colonel Wasantha Pamunuwa on 30 May 2018 at Security Forces Headquarters (Central). Colonel General Staff of Security Forces Headquarters (Central), Colonel C S Munasinghe WWV RWP RSP USP psc IG and 42 officers from this Headquarters, under command Divisions, Brigades and Units participated in this lecture.

  • 19 SLNG TROOPS CONTRIBUTED FOR SOCIAL WORK

    Troops of 19 Sri Lanka National Guards (19 SLNG) under command to 112 Brigade of Security Forces (Central) dug a pit for proper garbage disposal at the Lakshapana Hospital

  • MILITARY PERSONNEL LAUNCHED RELIEF OPERATIONS

    The heavy rainfall across the country has caused havoc in many provinces and the Central Province which is in the responsible area of Security Forces (Central) has faced a disastrous situation. Further, it is reported that, one person in Pilimathalawa in the Kandy District drowned in the flood. Therefore, the relief operations are carried out by 2 officers and 16 other ranks from 2 Sri Lanka Rifle Corps and 2 (V) Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment in the mentioned area on 25 May 2018.

  • THE FOUNDATION STONE WAS LAID FOR THE NEW OFFICERS’ MESS AT 11 DIVISION

    The foundation stone for the new Officers’ Mess and the Officers' Living Area at 11 Division of Security Forces (Central) was laid by the General Officer Commanding of 11 Division, Brigadier T J Nanayakkara RWP USP ndu on 24 May 2018 at an auspicious time.

    Prevailing adverse weather condition has paralyzed the civil life in the Kandy District located in the responsible area of Security Forces (Central) and the relief operations are carried out by the Military personnel of 1 Sri Lanka Rifle Corps (1 SLRC)

  • CELEBRATION OF THE NATIONAL WAR HEROES COMMEMORATIVE DAY

    The National War Heroes Commemorative Day was celebrated in remembrance of the fallen war heroes at the War Heroes Monument, Badulla on 15 May 2018 from 0915 hours to 1155 hours with the participation of the Acting Governor of Central Province, honorable P B Dissanayake and the Chief Minister of Uva Province, Minister Chamara Sampath Dasanayake.
