  • PLANT SAPLING PROGRAM AT 573 INFANTRY BRIGADE

    A program of planting 200 coconut saplings, organized as part of the Corporate Social Responsibility Project of the 2023/2025 MBA Financial Management course of University of Colombo, was held on 14.03.2025. The program was conducted at the 573 Infantry Brigade premises under the leadership and coordination of the General Officer Commanding 61 Infantry Division, Major General K T P De Silva RSP ndu psc and under the guidance of the Commander 573 Infantry Brigade Brigadier S W P M H R Senadheera RWP USP psc.

  • GENERAL OFFICER COMMANDING 61 INFANTRY DIVISION GRACES ANNUAL SPORTS MEET 2025 OF NAGODA ROYAL COLLEGE

    The Annual Sports Meet 2025 of Nagoda Royal College, a prestigious institution with a 149-year history, was successfully held on 12th March 2025, at 1300 Hrs on the school grounds. The event was graced by the distinguished presence of Major General K T P De Silva RSP ndu psc, the General Officer Commanding of the 61 Infantry Division, who attended as the chief guest upon the invitation of the school principal.

  • COMMUNITY-DRIVEN CLEANING INITIATIVE AT REGIONAL HOSPITAL C MADAMPE

    Under the leadership of Puttalam District Member of Parliament Hiruni Wijesinghe, with the participation of Mr. Gayan Fernando (Private Secretary) and Mr. C Kannangara, Madampe Area Organizer, and with the involvement of the hospital Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Sanjeewa Thirimaanna, a cleaning program for Regional Hospital C Madampe was conducted in association with the Clean Sri Lanka program on 15 March 2025.

  • SCHOOL CLEANING AND RENOVATION PROGRAM UNDER THE CLEAN SRI LANKA PROGRAM

    Parallel to the "CLEAN SRI LANKA" program, as per the concept of the Commander of the Army, the cleaning and renovation program of selected with the low facilities schools was initiated in the selected Pamunugama Gonsalvez College - Ja-Ela in the Gampaha District as per the priority policy and the cleaning program was initiated and the inaugural ceremony was held in this school with great pomp on 10.03.2025 under the theme of "A Clean Educational Environment".

  • CONDUCT MAP READING TRAINING FOR RAHULA COLLEGE - MATARA SCOUTING STUDENTS

    On February 27, 2025, troops from the 3(V) Gemunu Watch of the 613 Infantry Brigade, under the 61 Infantry Division of the Security Forces Headquarters (West), conducted a map reading training program for 30 scouting students of Rahula College, Matara.

  • COMMANDER 144 INFANTRY BRIGADE GRACES M D H JAYAWARDENA VIDYALAYA ANNUAL SPORTS MEET

  • CEREMONIAL LAUNCHING OF CLEAN SRI LANKA SCHOOL LEVEL PROGRAMME IN 61 INFANTRY DIVISION AREA

    As part of a key government initiative, the "Clean Sri Lanka Programme" has been introduced into the school system. The first phase of this initiative in 61 Infantry Division area, which aims to be implemented in 11 schools was launched on 20 Feb 2025.
