    Demonstrating their goodwill and unity, the legends of KDU Intake 5 from the Tri-Forces, together with their families, conducted a comprehensive cleaning programme at Siddhartha Central College, Sedawaththa, on 06 December 2025. Troops from the 1 Recce Regiment Sri Lanka Armoured Corps and 2 (V) Sri Lanka Light Infantry also joined the effort, ensuring a cleaner and more welcoming environment for students and staff.

  • 8 SLSR TROOPS SUPPORT TWO MEDICAL RELIEF EFFORTS IN BULATHKOHUPITIYA

  • 16 GR TROOPS PROVIDE ESSENTIAL DRINKING WATER TO GALGAMUWA RESIDENTS

    As directed by 57 Infantry Division and 571 Infantry Brigade troops of the 16 Gajaba Regiment (16 GR) delivered much-needed drinking water to residents in the Galgamuwa area by deploying a water bowser to meet the community’s immediate needs. This timely assistance ensured that families affected by water shortages received safe drinking water, reflecting the Army’s continued commitment to public welfare and community support.

  • ARMY TROOPS CLEAN FIVE SCHOOLS A DAY

    Under the direction of the 57 Infantry Division and 143 Infantry Brigade, troops from 7(V) Gajaba Regiment (7 (V) GR) and 22 Gajaba Regiment (22 GR) deployed multiple teams across their respective areas to support post-flood recovery efforts. Their dedicated commitment enabled the complete cleaning of five schools: Baththulu Oya Maha Vidyalaya, Muthupaththi Roman Catholic College, Kelegama Maha Vidyalaya, Pambal Primary College, and Sri Sujatha Maha Vidyalaya in Chilaw. These efforts ensured safer, cleaner, and more conducive learning environments, allowing educational activities to resume without delay while greatly assisting affected school communities.

  • HUMANITARIAN RELIEF BY 7 GAJABA REGIMENT IN MAHAWEWA

Dry ration packs were distributed to residents in need, easing their immediate hardships.   • TROOPS CLEAN WELLS IN RATHNAPURA AFTER FLOODS

    Following the floods, majority of the wells in Marapana GS Division in Rathnapura District were got unsafe for human use. Under the initiative of the 61 Infantry Division and direction of 572 Infantry Brigade flood affected areas were identified, and troops of the11 Gemunu Watch carried out essential well-cleaning operations for 25 wells in Marapana on 06 December 2025. Their timely effort restored safe water access to the community.

  • TROOPS RESTORE CLEAN AND SAFE SPACES AT ST. ANNE’S SCHOOL AND CHURCH
